Colourful miniature of an officer known as Johann Beck, facing front, his powdered hair en queue tied with large black ribbon.  He is wearing a scarlet coat over his breast plate.  Watercolour on vellum C1740 signed by the artist on the reverse, along with sitter's details.  Silver edge frame glazed front and back.
