Miniature of William Wasey, facing left in powdered wig, wearing a grey coat and white waistcoat with embroidered edging.  Enamel on copper by Abraham Seaman C1730.  Original frame with glazed front, the reverse in shagreen with gold pique decorative border.

NB: William Wasey was surgeon to Westminster and St George's Hospital and Physician to King George II.
