Aide memoire, the grey lacquer on a metal base, decorated with heightened gold depictions of a house and trees front and back.  Pierced gold decoration 'amitie' and 'souvenir' with chased gold mounts which hinge open in the centre to reveal an internal writing sheaf and gold pencil.  French decharge marks C1785.
