Serpentine-shaped travelling inkwell, the copper-gilded body is simply engraved with scalloped edging and a floral centre.  It hinges open to reveal its contents: 2 matching faceted clear glass inkwell and sander, a larger central faceted glass bottle, a blue glass seal with a bust of a lady, a combined retracting pencil and handle for the 2 nibs to screw into.  English C1765.
