Strong miniature of a gent in powdered wig wearing a blue jacket with white chemise and a red cloak draped around one arm.  He is set before a grey curtain with a column in the background and is holding a scroll.  Watercolour on ivory, French C1750.  Gilded metal frame with solid reverse.
