Mother of Pearl aide memoire with central glazed panels of hair made to represent wheatsheaves.  Silver engraved mounts with pierced silver decoration denoting; 'souvenir' and 'd'amitie' on either side.  The hinged mounts open to reveal its internal ivory notepad and silver pencil.  French C1785.
