Unusual enamel patch box with sky blue base, the lid hand-painted with a bird flying over her nest full of eggs with pink surround.  The hinged lid opens to reveal the inside of the enamel lid painted with a bird cage and an outdoor background and in front of this is a piece of glass reverse-painted with a bird sitting on a branch.  Bilston C1790.
