Unusual enamel and sheffield plate box, the white-ground enamel lid has a hand-painted depiction of a gent playing a flute outdoors with a couple of frigates in the background. This plaque has sheffield plate pull-off mounts which are engraved with flowers and rococo-style swags. The base is inset with a pressed tortoiseshell panel. Birmingham C1760.
