Very unusual hand-painted snuff box depicting King George III and Queen Charlotte in profile facing one another. The white-ground base is painted with naive polychrome flowers. The hinged lid opens to reveal a centre section making it a double snuff box. Birmingham C1760. NB: This box was possibly made to commemorate the couple`s ascension to the throne.
