Large charming miniature of 2 sisters from the Norman family. The older one with blue necklace is holding her sister who is putting her arms out to be held. Watercolour on ivory by Samuel Shelley C1795. Gold frame, the glazed reverse with an ivory panel set with the girls' individual locks of hair and gold pierced initials; 'JEN' and 'CEN'. Provenance: Misses Norman and then by descent.
