Lovely petite green-ground enamel etui decorated with bianco-sopra-bianco decoration and gilded swags and leaves. The front has a hand-painted vignette of a couple amongst landscape and the reverse has a shepherd reclining under a tree. The top section has 3 white-ground vignettes with hand painted flowers. Ornate copper-gilded mounts which hinge open to reveal its inner contents; scissors, ornate folding fruit knife, snuff spoon, combined ear scoop and bodkin and needle. Bilston C1770.
