Pink-ground etui with bianco-sopra-bianco decoration. The front has a central vignette of an over-painted print of Lady Fenhoulet (after Reynolds) surrounded by a lavishly gilded A-symmetrical border. The other 3 vignettes are white-ground with hand-painted depictions of floral sprigs. The ornate copper-gilded mount hinges open to reveal its internal fittings: scissors, folding fruit knife, folding ruler, snuff spoon, tweezers, needle, pencil and ivory writing tablet.
