Gilt metal aide memoire set with 2 blue enamel panels. The front has overlaid ornate pierced and engraved metal-work set with 2 micro mosaics of the Colosseum and another famous Italian monument. The pen slides out to open the carnet which reveals a white moire silk interior with pocket and a paper carnet with days of the week. French C1870.
