A very unusual and endearing miniature of an officer in uniform being hugged by his daughter from behind. Watercolour on ivory by Gertrude E Mockridge C1915. Original pewter frame with pierced edging and original label on reverse. NB: This miniature was probably painted before the officer went off to join forces in the Great War.
