Very rare white-ground enamel bodkin case formed in the shape of a canon. The body is decorated with gold leaf designs and a central image of drums, flags and weapons with the words written in red above; 'Tirez moi avec addresse'. The copper gilt mounts pull apart to access the aperture inside to hold the bodkins. London C1755.
