Unusual miniature of 2 siblings known as F Gabriel Decous, aged 10, wearing a black coat and cravat with his younger sister Corrine, aged 8, wearing a blue dress leaning on his shoulder. The reverse is a separate ivory panel decorated on the border with polychrome flowers and the sitters details written in the centre. Watercolour on ivory, Belgium 1853. Gilt metal frame.
