Miniature of a lady facing right, known as Mrs Sophia Beale Bonnell (1748 - 1841). She has her dark curled hair decorated with pearls and a blue ribbon and is wearing a white dress with orange floral pattern and blue trim. Watercolour on ivory by George Engleheart C1775 - signed with artist's initials on obverse. Gilded frame set with garnet jewelled border.
