Very unusual and intriguing yellow scalloped base enamel patch box. The lid is hand-painted with a galloping brown horse ridden by a gent or officer in breeches and boots with a bicorn hat. The box is titled 'Benjamin' which is most likely the name of the horse who was either a celebrated racing or war horse in his time. Bilston C1790. Original internal mirror (cracked).
