Green enamel-ground etui with raised-white dot decoration surrounding hand-painted vignettes of ruins on one side and of a house with a tree on the reverse. The copper-gilt mounts hinge open to reveal its internal fittings which comprise of: gilt ear and toothpick, pencil, snuff spoon , folding fruit knife, scissors, tweezers and ivory writing tablet.
