White-ground enamel etui with bianco-sopra-bianco decoration washed with yellow enamel detailing. The front and back have hand-painted vignettes of varying couples set within landscape. Ornate copper gilded mounts which hinge open to reveal the etui's contents: scissors, ivory notelet and pencil, folding fruit knife and combined toothpick and ear scoop. Birmigham C1765.
