Large enamel bonbonniere moulded in the form of a chaffinch sitting on grass. It has a brown back with yellow and black-edged wings, a black tail, white and brown breast and red head. The white-ground base has an over-painted print of a bird soaring above a couple in landscape. Engraved copper-gilt hinged mounts. Bilston C1770.
