Small mercury-gilded copper snuff box, the engine-turned decoration radiates from a single shell embellishment on the top edge, front and base. The mounts hinge open to reveal a second internal lid to keep the snuff fresh. Inside the base is its original spoon with which to snort the snuff. English C1760.
