Very rare enamel and gold propelling pencil in its original fited case C1884. The central part of the pencil is enamelled with the portrait of Prince Leopold, Duke of Saxony, with the letters 'In Memoriam' beneath. The piece as retailed by Collingwood and Co, Goldsmiths and Jewellers to the Royal Family. NB: Prince Leopold was the eighth child and youngest son of Queen Victoria and died in 1884.
