Pretty miniature of a lady with dark hair facing front. She is wearing a pink embroidered fur-edged slip over a blue robe with lace edging and fur trim. Her hair is covered with a lace head-covering tied with two pink ribbons. Watercolour on ivory C1785. The miniature is set within a gilded frame with elaborated engraved border, the reverse with plaited hair set on purple foiled glass and a single flower at the top made from seed pearls. This is protected by a clear convex glass.
