Sarah Lyle by Singleton

Rare miniature of a lady named Sarah Lyle (nee Greg) wearing a white dress with blue shawl and a tiara in her brown curled hair.  Watercolour on ivory by William Singleton C1785.  Original gilded frame, the blue glass reverse with old label with sitter's details.  NB: Sarah Lyle was daughter to Irish Merchant Thomas Greg (1718-1796).
