Miniature of a lady facing front, her dark hair worn up with a blue ribbon. She is wearing a blue dress with white lace trim and a ribbon at her breast with a rose posy above. Watercolour on ivory signed and dated on the obverse by Gervase Spencer 1752. Original gilded metal frame with reeded border and solid reverse. Later added pin.
