Miniature of a lady facing left wearing a white dress with blue ribbon decoration, a black sash and a bandeau in her powdered curled hair.  She is set against a sky background.  Watercolour on ivory signed with artist's initials on the obverse for Thomas Hazlehurst C1795.  Original gold frame with solid reverse and later pin attachment.
