Miniature of a pretty young lady with dark hair curled in ringlets by her ears, wearing a black velvet dress with white lace panel and a guard chain around her neck. Watercolour on ivory by George Hargreaves C1840. Original gilt frame chased with flowers, the reverse with glazed hair, gold wire and pearl decoration set on blue silk.
