Lady by Engleheart

Lovely miniature of a young lady with blue eyes, facing right, her curled powdered hair sporting a white bandeau.  She is wearing a white dress with blue sash. The frill decoration to the dress is exquisitely rendered.  Watercolour on ivory by George Engleheart C1775, signed on the obverse with artist's initials.  Gilt metal solid back frame set in its original shagreen protective carrying case.
