Gent by Engleheart

Striking miniature of a gent, with powdered hair,  set against a cloud background, wearing a blue coat with black velvet collar and white frilled stock.  Watercolour on ivory signed with cursive 'E' on obverse by George Engleheart C1805.  Period frame with green guilloche enamel bezel, the reverse with glazed plaited hair.
