Embossed bird and fruit enamel etui C1770

Rare enamel etui with rainbow colouring of pink, yellow, blue and green.  The front has a repoussed parrot sitting on fruit and ther reverse has a repoussed basket of fruit with a different bird above.  The vignettes are surrounded by swags heightened in gold leaf.  The ornate copper gilt mounts hinge open to reveal its contents; scissors, snuff spoon, tweezers, folding knife, stiletto, writing tablet and combined ear scoop and toothpick.  Bilston C1770.
