Unusual white-ground enamel bodkin case, the pull-off lid formed as a lady with floral head dress, green dress and maroon shawl. The wrythen base has a hand-painted depiction of a basket of fruit with dragon fly with the words 'je matache a la plus douce' which loosely translates as 'I think you are the most sweet'.
