Silver Sporran Notebook

Unusual novelty aide-memoire.  The silver is intricately chased in the form of a sporran, the pseudo-opening, engraved with a thistle and leaves.  It slides open to reveal 2 ivory writing tablets.  It hangs from a silver engraved chatelaine which is probably later-added.  The reverse is assayed with maker's initials 'PW' of Edinburgh 1875.
