Sepia-coloured miniature of a gent with powdered wig en queue, wearing a brown jacket  decorated with fancy buttons with cut steel or paste borders and white stock.  Watercolour on ivory by Charles Robertson C1790.  Engraved original gold frame, the reverse with glazed central panel of plaited hair.
