100 year Commemoration of Act of Union

Rare pink base enamel patch box.  The white-ground enamel lid depicts a flag, wreath, hat and shield with a banner depicting the number, 100.  Around the blue border reads the motto; 'Civil Liberty and Public Prosperity be the Union and new Century'.  Bilston C1807.  Replaced internal mirror.  NB: This box was made to commemorate the centenary of the Passing of the Acts of Union in 1707 between the Scottish and English.
