Very unusual cobalt scalloped-base enamel patch box, the lid hand-painted with a playing card of the 10 of diamonds. Original internal mirror. Bilston C1790. NB: This box was probably commissioned by a person partial to gambling where the 10 of diamonds card holds great significance.
