Watercolour on ivory signed on the obverse by Peter Paillou (senior) 17??. Original gold frame, the reverse with a glazed ivory panel set with 3 locks of hair with blue glass surround. Fitted morocco leather travelling case with sitter's details; ' Robert Polhill born (about) 1760 Son of Nathaniel Polhill Esq of Howbury Park Bedford.'
