Miniature of a gent, ad sinistra, with long powdered wig, wearing a blue jacket over a cream waistcoat and white cravat. Watercolour on ivory unusually signed in full on the obverse 'G Spencer pxt 1745'. Ornate silver gilt frame with blue and white enamelling with bow finial and scroll on top.

NB: This miniature is unusual for Spencer as it is much larger than other works of this period and he has also signed in full rather than just initials.
