Miniature of gent holding bicorn hat signed by G Spencer 1745

Colourful miniature of a gent with powdered wig en queue, wearing an embroidered blue coat with frilled edging over a white chemise with a pearl brooch fastened at his neck.  He is holding a black bicorn hat under one arm.  Watercolour on ivory signed on the obverse by G Spencer 1745.  Later gilded metal frame with solid reverse.
