Small and colourful miniature of an officer with fair hair and long sideburns, wearing a military uniform with gold braid, red collar and black stock. Watercolour on ivory by Francois Theodore Rochard C1840. Original gilt frame, the reverse engraved with artist's name and dated 1840.
