Fablulous Regence etui and chatelaine. The etui is made from ormolu inset with cabochon mother of pearl surrounded by flat engraved inserts. The edges are decorated with raised ribbed mothr of pearl detail and the top and bottom have carved undulating finials. It hinges open to reveal its interior contents; a mothr of pearl folding fruit knife, snuff spoon, pencil and writing tablet, a rule and a combined ear and toothpick. It is attached by its original matching chatelaine with 2 adjuncts, a needle case and vinaigrette. French C1730.
