Enamel repousse etui with matching chatelaine Bilston C1770

Stunning enamel etui with matching chatelaine.  The pale yellow-ground-wash repousse etui is hand-painted with scenes from the arts and sciences and doves and a cherub on the lid. These are bordered by pink and purple swirl borders heightened with gold leaf. The copper gilded mount hinges open to reveal its original contents; scissors, snuff spoon, combined toothpick and ear scoop, folding fruit knife, ivory wrtiting tablet, pencil, knife for sharpening and a bodkin.  The etui is suspended from a copper gilt chatelaine set with 3 enamel panels decorated with flowers and an outdoor scene.  There are 4 suspended attachments which consist of a copper gilt miniature jug with seal base, a decorative book made from aventurine glass with copper gilt edging and lattice work, a copper gilt cage with seal base containing 3 moving porcelain birds? and a hinged box with enamel playing cards of the Queen of Spades and the Jack of Diamonds.  Bilston C1770.
