Unusual green/blue enamel-ground etui decorated with floral vignettes on the lid, reverse and top. The centre has a hand-coloured portait of a pretty lady, probably the reknowned actress of the period, Mrs Brooks, in a blue hat and cloak with orange dress and bow around her neck. The decorative copper-gilt mount hinges open to reveal its contents: gilded folding fruit knife, pencil, combined ear scoop and toothpic, scissors, ivory note pad, steel tweezers and scoop and bodkin.
